In the 33rd episode, Legend Lake, Kristin and Erik interview Miggie Snyder. 

Miggie is a Chicago based actor, singer, and songwriter. She began playing music at the young age of 4 and has been hooked ever since. In the spring of 2019, Miggie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Michigan University with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and a minor in Nonprofit Leadership. 

In 2020, Miggie began releasing her own original music, including Legend Lake. Legend Lake went viral on TikTok when she played her meaningful song one evening in a short video on the app. Millions of views later, she became known as the Legend Lake Girl. She has released her debut EP featuring music she wrote in her first year as an independent artist. She has plans to continue pursuing her career as an independent artist and she is definitely one to follow along on this journey.

This episode is full of great conversation with Miggie about her experience with going viral, releasing music, and dealing with insecurities surrounding showing her art to the world.

#031 Independence Day Post Game

Welcome back to The Cabincast, Your Getaway Primer Podcast for those with a passion for cabins, rustic decor, the great outdoors, and nights telling tales around the campfire.


In the 31st episode, Erik and Kristin share a Cabin Chat catching up on their Independence Day weekend. 

Kristin shares about the 4th of Julys past and how she used to spend the holiday as a family when her kids were young. They chat about how fun it is to have kids during these holidays especially as they get older and are able to enjoy the fireworks.


Erik shares how his family celebrated this year. He tells a couple stories about water skiing from boat racing and skiing in the rain. Erik also shares one of his favorite ice cream spots, The Windmill in Tomahawk, WI. 


Erik’s waterskiing stories reminded Kristin of one of her family’s favorite movies, Cheaper by the Dozen 2. This is a great summer-y, family friendly watch!
